Consequently, participants gain valuable insights from previous scholars, Team Leaders, and graduates in their field within just one day.

  • University Assignment

The Board of Trustees will select appropriate schools for a student to attend based on the student’s choice, major, location, cost, family situation, and SSF Teams.
  • Please list the school(s) you wish to attend*

    1. Please list at least three (3) schools you wish to attend and the scholarship deadline for the schools.

You must apply to these schools before December 1st to receive many of the scholarships offered by colleges or universities.

    1. Example: ABC University – Deadline November 5th.

    2. Example: XPZ University – Deadline December  9th.

    3. Example: ANC College – Deadline December 4th.

Selected Students are not guaranteed SSF scholarships to their preferred schools.

Note: SSF places significant importance on an applicant's school choices, especially if the reasons for selecting a particular institution align with genuine academic pursuits and institutional financial aid funding.

The Board of Trustees (BOT) will take into account various factors during the school assignment process, including the student's academic readiness to excel, available scholarships and overall costs, relevant programs and degrees, and opportunities for internships or co-ops. Proximity to family is also a key consideration, particularly if a student requires distance for personal growth and maturity.

Additionally, SSF will assess the number of SSF scholars at each school and the structure of college teams to ensure effective support and the success of the SSF program.

  • Note: Many students are affected by non-academic factors when choosing a school, often influenced by family preferences for popular football programs while neglecting crucial aspects like size, cost, and available opportunities. Some students have declined scholarships from other institutions, opting instead for student debt and extensive work hours, only to eventually realize they should have prioritized academic and professional prospects along with affordability. SSF aims for its scholars to graduate with strong academic performance, active participation in student organizations, and either relevant work experience in their field or acceptance into graduate or professional programs.

When choosing your schools, be sure to conduct thorough research:
    - What is the school size compared to your high school?
    - How large are the classes—will you be recognized as an individual?
    - What percentage of classes are led by professors instead of teaching assistants?
    - If you have a specific major in mind, does the school provide specialized courses in that field?

Additionally, look into the availability of career counseling and job placement services, as well as the percentage of graduates who secure jobs in their field soon after graduation. If your desired career necessitates advanced degrees, review the institution's offerings and admission rates for graduate or professional programs. Consider what specifically draws you to these institutions.

  • College / University Choices

  • Additional Scholarships
