CSO-EU Decision Maker Dialogue on Local Value Addition, Benefit Sharing, and Equal Energy Access in Africa’s Mineral-Rich Regions

This dialogue between EU and African civil society organizations and EU decision makers focuses on the trade, industrial, and energy policies essential for advancing local value addition and benefit sharing in Southern Africa’s mineral-rich countries. Drawing on recent research and case studies on value addition, as well as insights from the CongoEpela platform, discussions will focus on the support needed and barriers affecting these objectives and on how EU-Africa partnerships can genuinely enable local transformation and equitable energy access in transition mineral-rich countries
