Preliminaries

By submitting this award application on behalf of the applicant organization, it shall be understood that:

A. The committee for the Goodman Award for Excellence in Strategy (GAES) will review this application.

B. IASP may require the applicant organization to provide additional information supporting this application.

C. This application and any attachments become the property of IASP. Application materials cannot be returned and may be publicized, referenced, or included in IASP publications and resources with suitable masking of the proprietary/confidential information that may pertain to the applicant organization. In such an event, IASP will review the specific version of the document with the organization and obtain its acceptance before it is used for broader dissemination.

D. IASP will expect one recipient from each award-winning organization to participate in a (non-travel/internet-based) webinar or a speaking engagement at IASP’s annual conference to showcase their award-winning case study.

Application Guidance

This application form comprises seven main sections. The first section enables the applicant organization to state its case for deserving the GAES. The following five sections cover the key phases of strategy management. You may wish to refer to the GAES Evaluation Framework for a one-page summary of the assessment criteria in these sections. The final section offers the applicant organization a free-form opportunity to add additional support for their case.

Applications must be submitted in this application form. In this application form, you may attach supporting documents with embed graphics, flow charts, graphs, tables, or pictures.

In addition to the application, appendices containing supplementary materials and evidence are welcomed. Reference to appendices should be made within the relevant sections of the application form where the additional materials and evidence expand on or further illustrates critical points. Appendices are not included in the application page limit. They will be considered for ease of reference, relevance, content, clarity, and conciseness in enhancing the critical information already presented in the application form.

Application Deadline

All entries must be received on or before the date specified in the call for submissions issued by IASP. (Friday, March 20th)

Winners will be notified by the second week of May and will be publically announced at the IASP Global Conference, May 31 - June 3, 2026, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. All applicants are invited to attend the conference and winners may receive their award in person.
