Little Terns and the Bird Life of Chesil Beach

Chris Goding is the Project Officer for the highly successful Little Tern Recovery Project based on Chesil Beach. Preparing for another busy season on Chesil, Chris will provide a background to bird life on Chesil Beach and seasonal changes due to migration before focusing specifically on Little Terns.

The talk will highlight the successful work that has been undertaken to encourage these birds to successfully breed on Chesil Beach and the hours of work put in by a group of dedicated volunteers. It's a celebration of the success so far with more work to be done....

The Little Tern Project is a partnership project managed by the RSPB, supported by Dorset Wildlife Trust, Natural England, The Portland Court Leet, the Crown Estate, the Chesil Bank and Fleet Nature Reserve.

The evening will include a chilli with all the trimmings from the Dorset Adventure Cafe served in the interval.
