Thank you for completing this registration for the 2025-2026 Athens Drive Marching Band season. Please be as accurate and as thorough as possible in your responses. 

Things you will need to complete the registration:

• Your My Music Office User Name (returning members only).  Sign into www.mymusicoffice.com to view your account, update names, addresses, parents' info, make payments, and view account balances.  
• Insurance Card (to take a photo or readily available to upload)
• WCPSS Forms  (signed digitally or readily available to upload)

Notes:

Please note that students and all parent/guardian contact information will be automatically enrolled in this season's necessary communication platforms (Band App, Remind, email, and newsletter).  Band Account Statements will be sent to all Parent/Guardian contacts on file.  At least one student and parent must be enrolled in the communications at all times.  

BAND APP for Students and BAND APP for Parents is the main communication tool used by the Athens Drive High School Band program to keep parents, students, and volunteers informed and connected.  Using the BAND helps ensure that everyone gets the latest information quickly and easily – which is crucial for a busy program like ours!

REMIND is a band text messaging system that sends short, last-minute reminders and schedule changes to students and parents (used frequently at band camp, competitions, etc.). 

ATHENS DRIVE BAND EMAIL / NEWSLETTER is a friendly and detailed email sent about once a week to keep students and parents up-to-date with everything happening in the band program.

BAND ACCOUNT STATEMENTS are the regular monthly invoices for items such as Fair Share, MB shoes, instrument rental, Class band fees, etc.

The ADHS Band Directory is password protected and available only to band families. All students will be included in the directory. A typical entry includes: Student Photo, Student Name, Grade, Instrument(s), Address, Subdivision, Student Phone & Email, Custodial Parent/Guardian contact information.

ALL NEW members are also required to complete the WCPSS Athletic Participation Form (which includes a physical completed by a physician). Returning members with a physical on file should only resubmit if they have experienced significant health changes since the last submission. If your student is required to complete a WCPSS Parent Request & Physician’s Order for Medication (Form 1702), an updated version for the 2025-2026 school you must be provided.

Throughout the band season and especially on competition days, meals or snacks are often included. We make every effort to accommodate food allergies and special dietary needs but require your assistance to ensure we are meeting your student’s needs.

Please let us know in the field below of any special dietary needs or specific instructions from some of our most common restaurants. Here are our typical choices:

Chick-Fil-A (original or grilled sandwich, veggie wrap)

Papa Johns / Dominos (Cheese, pepperoni, vegan pizza)

Harris Teeter or Subway Subs (turkey, ham, roast beef, veggie -- all with cheese; condiments and toppings are on the side)

For example, if your child has a peanut allergy, please let us know if your student could eat an original Chick-Fil-A sandwich, must have a grilled sandwich, or requires something different (please specify).

The Athens Drive Marching Band is funded by fair share assessments and band fundraisers. We make the program accessible to students regardless of their financial situation by offering numerous ways to offset costs of participation. It’s easier than you think! Please don’t let finances stop you from joining!

In addition to our many fundraising opportunities, this season we will award a total of five $500 Scholarships towards individual band accounts for students demonstrating financial need. Applications will be accepted through June 30th.

We recognize that Marching Band can put a financial strain on families. We want everyone who wants to participate to be able to. We are willing to work with families to provide alternative payment options and financial assistance so that everyone can be part of it. So that we understand financial needs and can assist all families who need it, communication is essential. All financial communications are completely confidential between the family in need, the treasurers, and the presidents. If my child is a returning member, I understand that my existing account must be paid in full prior to registration. I understand that any payments made during the registration process will first be applied to my student’s existing balance. My student will not be considered registered for the 2025–2026 marching season unless the current balance is paid in full or a payment plan has been arranged with the treasurers.

I agree to pay dues as invoiced (sent by email) in a timely manner.

I am aware that if dues are not paid (or if payment arrangements are not made with our treasurers), the following consequences may apply:

· Students may not be allowed to participate in performances, trips, or special events.
· Students may not receive band-issued uniforms, equipment, or materials.
· Senior students may not be recognized as “seniors in good standing” at end-of-year events.

A $200 non-refundable registration fee is needed to hold your child's position in the Athens Drive HS Marching Band for the upcoming school year. If you have more than one child in the Marching Band, the registration fee for each additional child is $160.

Payments are processed through Square using a major Credit Card, Google Pay, Apple Pay, or ACH Payment.  No square account is required if paying by any of the payment methods. Square charges a fee is a total of 3.2% per transaction.  Please understand that we need to pass this fee on for the usage of this service. An additional $0.01 charge is added to accommodate rounding issues.
