On Sunday July 12, 2026 at 11am, we return to the steps—not for a photograph, but for a reckoning. Ten years after the original B'More ArtScene portrait immortalized the brilliance of Baltimore’s African-American visual artists, we gather again. This reunion is more than symbolic; it is urgent.

In a time when cultural narratives are rewritten, when legacies are sidelined, and when the contributions of Black artists are too often omitted from public memory, we refuse to be erased. This photograph will be a declaration. A restoration. A powerful collective stance against the quiet theft of our history.
Artists of color have long been the architects of Baltimore’s soul. This image will speak for those whose stories deserve to be etched into the city's canon—not buried beneath it.

So, the question echoes louder than before:Will you be on those steps?
Will you take your place in history—not as a witness, but as its author?

ELIGIBILITY & PARTICIPATION

This is your moment to be part of history.

• Must be 18 or older to participate. This opportunity is open to visual artists only! (no musicians, rappers, actors, dancers, poets, etc.)
• Eligibility is limited to those who live or work in Baltimore.
• Participation is free of charge. However, if you’d like to receive a printed copy of the official 2026 commemorative poster, a small fee will apply.

• Registering secures your place in this landmark gathering. Once registered, you’ll receive regular updates as we build toward this monumental day.
