Welcome to the Carya Village Commons Indoor Night Market!
We’re so glad you’re joining us. Our goal is to create a fun, safe, and inclusive space for the East Village community to gather, connect, and celebrate creativity. To make this possible, we’ve outlined a few simple guidelines for vendors.
Our Shared Goals
We believe in building partnerships that are meaningful, respectful, and supportive. By working together, we can create a positive experience for vendors, guests, and our community.
Vendor Fees
Each vendor slot is $50.00 CAD.
*Fees are due upon confirmation of your spot unless other arrangements are made in writing.
What Carya Provides
- A clean, safe space and table in our “Village Common Space”(tables must remain in their assigned location).
- Marketing support through Village Commons bulletin boards, calendars, and newsletters.
- Onsite support and access to Wi-Fi (note: vendors must bring their own card reader).
Vendor Responsibilities
- Bring, set up, and take down your own displays and merchandise.
- Keep your booth area clean and clear at the end of the event.
- Ensure your products follow our Sellable Wares Guidelines (see below).
- Take responsibility for anyone assisting at your booth.
- Manage your own payments (cash, credit, or other methods).
- Follow all health, safety, and municipal regulations.
- Help us maintain a welcoming environment free from harassment, discrimination, or exclusion.
Cancellations
Vendors must cancel in writing at least 7 days before the event.Vendor fees are non-refundable.If Carya cancels due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., weather, government restrictions), we may issue partial or full refunds at our discretion.
Liability
Vendors are responsible for their own merchandise, equipment, and cash.
Carya is not liable for loss, theft, or damage.
Vendors are responsible for any damages caused by their actions or booth setup.
Photo & Video Release
By participating, vendors agree that Carya may photograph or record the event and use these materials for promotional, marketing, or archival purposes.
Data Sharing
As a nonprofit, Carya tracks community impact. Vendors are asked to share the number of participants served (not sales amounts) after the event.
Sellable Wares Guidelines
- All items must be family-friendly — no sexually explicit, violent, or adult-themed products.
- Merchandise must respect all communities — no hate speech, stereotypes, or harmful depictions of minorities or marginalized groups.
- No hazardous materials, illegal items, or counterfeit goods.
- Food and beverages require prior approval and must follow health regulations.
- Items for mature audiences (e.g., art depicting the human body in a nonsexual, artistic way) may be allowed if:
- Approved in advance by Carya.
Displayed in a covered, clearly labeled section of your booth.
- Carya reserves the right to request removal of any item or display that doesn’t meet these standards.
