Homes for Horses Coalition, an initiative of American Wild Horse Conservation and the Animal Welfare Institute, is dedicated to promoting equine welfare and providing opportunities for equine rescues to succeed.
Equine rescues and sanctuaries play a critical role in protecting wild horses and burros in need by providing quality training, maintaining high standards of care, and securing forever homes.
American Wild Horse Conservation (AWHC) is providing this grant with the goal of ensuring that equine rescues and sanctuaries have the resources they need to support at-risk wild horses and burros that have been removed from the range.

-Herd health interventions (veterinary care, dental, farrier, vaccination programs)
-Capacity-building equipment directly tied to wild horse or burro care
Funds may not be used for the purchase or adoption of equines.
