Join us for a special experience during RiverFest & Craft Show weekend on June 6 & 7! We invite you to explore the scenic Occoquan waterway on a guided, 1-hour historical kayak tour from our Mayor, Earnie Porta on Saturday, June 6.
Paddle at a relaxed pace as you take in the natural beauty of the river while learning about the rich history of Occoquan and its waterfront. The mayor will share stories of the town’s past, from its early industrial roots to its role in the region’s development. Keep an eye out for local wildlife along the way—including osprey and even bald eagles.
Don’t forget your camera as you pass Heron’s Haven, our neighboring island, where you may spot blue herons and painted turtles in their natural habitat.
Each tour is designed for small groups to ensure a personal and engaging experience. Individual tickets are $28. Space is limited and tours are expected to sell out, so we recommend booking in advance!
