2027 Boonerang Battle of the Bands

Boonerang Music & Arts Festival is pleased to announce the 2027 Battle of the Bands. Bands are invited to submit an application for a chance to perform in one of two showcases hosted at the Appalachian Theatre. The winners of each battle will get a $500 cash prize and be invited to perform a paid spot at the festival, June 18-19, 2027.

Battles will take place at the Appalachian Theatre on the following dates:

--Thursday, February 18, 2027

--Thursday, March 25, 2027

Three or four bands will be selected to perform for each showcase. Bands should plan on performing a 30-minute set. Applicants are encouraged to select all of the showcase dates they are available for the best chance to be chosen, although applicants will not be selected for more than one showcase.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: Tuesday, December 1, 2026, at 11:59 PM. We will contact finalists by December 18, 2026.

**BAND DESCRIPTION** Must include names of members in band, instrumentation, and brief description of style. If stage plot is not attached below, please be sure to list production needs for performance (instrument lines, amps, number of vocal mics, any other needs).

Video request - We want to see recent - within the last year - video(s) of your band with the members/configuration you anticipate performing in the 2027 Boonerang Battle of the Bands. It does not have to be a professional edited video - a phone video of your band will suffice. Please upload your video(s) to YouTube or Vimeo, and provide us a link(s) below (public or private links are fine as long as they do not require permissions to access beyond pasting the links into a browser). Alternatively, you may upload a video file directly to this form. We will not look at videos on Instagram/Facebook/TikTok (some of our judges do not have access to these platforms).
