  • A Little About Me

  • My name’s Shannon (InkyShan) and I have been a professional tattoo artist now for 5 years. I currently work out of two studios in Essex, Brothers in Arts & Luna Blue.

    I have wanted to learn areola artistry since I started tattooing, and I’m very grateful to be starting this journey under the amazing mentorship of Tanya Buxton.

    As my training in this field is ongoing, I am currently offering this service free-of-charge  (with the exception of a refundable holding fee) to help me complete my studies and showcase my new skills & knowledge in 3D Areola Tattooing.

    The holding fee (£100) is just there to secure the necessary dates for the appointments, as I have to complete my studies within 6 months and set timeframes. Once all the agreed appointments have been fulfilled, this can be refunded back to you.

  • The Process

  • As stated above, because I am doing these tattoos for free to obtain my certification, appointments must all be agreed upon and booked at the same time and must all be completed within the set timeframes.

     

    For full transparency, I will need to see you over 4 separate appointments:

     

    The first appointment will be a face-to-face consultation. This gives us the opportunity to meet one another, have a little chat about your journey, discuss any questions or concerns you may have, get a feel for the space and also for me to have a look at the area I will be tattooing to ensure everything is settled and healed enough for me to tattoo over. 

     

    The second appointment will be your 1st treatment session. This will be the biggest session as it'll involve taking before & after photos, drawing or stencilling on the new Areola/nipple complex, choosing the right colour palette for your skin and finally, doing the tattoo(s).

     

    The third appointment will be your 2nd treatment session and will be 8+ weeks later. This is a necessary part of the process, where we will take healed photos from the 1st session, do a second-pass over the tattoo(s), and again take fresh after photos. This helps us define details, layer contrast and improve longevity.

     

    The fourth appointment is 4-8 weeks after the 2nd treatment. This is essential for me to see the tattoo(s) fully healed, get healed photos again for my training, and assess if a 3rd layer is necessary or not.
