TOPIC: Segmentation of Video and other 3D Volumetric/Tensor Data; both low-level and semantic segmentation.
Applicants should have expertise in computer vision, video analysis, feature learning and graphical models. The project will focus on both video segmentation as well as segmentation of *very* high resolution brainbow connectomics volumetric images (no prior experience with brainbow images needed). Applicants will invent new methods and take them through to implementation and results working within a thriving research group containing 6 PhD students, 3 postdocs, 1 engineer, and a handful of masters and undergraduates. Applicants should have a strong publication record in top-tier conferences (e.g., AAAI, CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, ICRA, IROS, MICCAI, NIPS, RSS, SDM) and journals (e.g., TPAMI, IJCV, JMLR, AIJ, TMI, TRO).
The position is available immediately and is for one year renewable upon strong performance.
