UCL’s Grand Challenges’ programme of activities for the next academic year, 2016-17, will be based on expansion from four GCs (Global Health, Sustainable Cities, Intercultural Interaction, Human Wellbeing) to six (to include new GCs focused on Transformative Technology and Justice & Equality). Our institutional capacity and potential to better serve society’s needs is based on UCL’s:
Great strengths across its 11 Faculties (expanded from the eight at GC’s inception in 2008)
20-year institutional development strategy,
Established culture of cross-disciplinary discussion and collaboration
Recognition that, more than ever, the world’s problems demand disruptive thinking
