Scope of Work Agreement for Local SEO Boost Services
Agreement Overview
This Scope of Work (SOW) Agreement is entered into on {Date}, between Ranis Media Group, LLC ("Service Provider") and ("Client"), located at (Client's Address). The purpose of this agreement is to outline the Local SEO Boost services to be provided by Ranis Media Group, LLC to enhance the Client's online visibility, particularly through Google Business Profile (GBP) optimization, entity asset building, and local search ranking improvements. These services are designed to help local business owners attract more customers via improved search engine rankings and digital presence.
The services are based on a comprehensive process inspired by best practices in local SEO, as detailed below. Ranis Media Group, LLC will perform the work in a professional manner, using industry-standard tools and techniques. We offer a 6-month guarantee: if the Client does not see results for at least one of five targeted keywords ranking in the top 3 on Google Maps, we will refund the full payment, no questions asked, ensuring peace of mind.
Scope of Services
The Local SEO Boost services will be delivered in phases, covering setup, optimization, asset creation, tracking, and ongoing enhancements. The specific tasks include:
Phase 1: Initial Setup and Workbook Preparation
- Create a customized project workbook using Google Sheets to organize all project details.
- Gather and input business information, including name, categories, address, service areas, hours, phone, and short name.
- Use tools like GMB Spy Chrome Extension to identify optimal business categories.
Phase 2: Google Business Profile (GBP) Optimization
- Verify and complete GBP profile information, including website link, appointment link, services, and descriptions.
- Set tight service areas (no more than 5-mile radius) and ensure accurate address handling for Service Area Businesses (SAB).
- Add geotagged photos and videos with watermarks (using tools like Snagit, Visual Watermark, and QR Code Generators like Sniply).
- Overlay logos and QR codes linking to key assets (e.g., GBP Map, GBP Website, or Location Landing Page).
- Upload optimized media to the GBP dashboard.
- Embed GBP Website and Map into the Client's Location Landing Page using iframe generators.
Phase 3: Tracking and Reporting Setup
- Set up accounts and reports in BrightLocal for citation tracking, keyword rank tracking, local search grid, and reputation management.
- Configure keyword tracking templates for five targeted keywords (primary and supporting, with variations like "near me" or city-specific).
- Integrate GBP connections for review monitoring.
- Generate initial reports for citations, rankings, local search grid, and reputation.
Phase 4: Google Tools and Analytics Integration
- Add the Location Landing Page to Google Search Console and verify ownership (via DNS or other methods).
- For Clients with a WordPress website, install and configure plugins like SOGO Add Script to Individual Pages Header Footer for code additions.
- For Clients without a WordPress website, alternative methods (e.g., manual code insertion or coordination with the Client's web developer) will be used to implement necessary scripts and embeds.
- Set up Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics (GA4), and link to Search Console.
- Configure tags for page views and conversion linking.
Phase 5: Tier-1 Entity Assets Building
- Create and optimize social media profiles: Facebook Page, LinkedIn Company Page, YouTube Channel.
- Order and integrate branded networks (Web 2.0 blogs) from providers like RazzSEO or Marketer's Center.
- Build an ID Page (HTML cloud-hosted on Amazon S3) with entity data consolidation and iframe stacking.
- Set up Press Release Page with embeds (GBP Map, Facebook, ID Page).
- Order and edit Google Sites & Drive Stacks from providers like iwebseo.
- Generate and add LocalBusiness Schema markup to key assets using tools like Merkle or Kalicube generators.
- Create KML files and Geo Sitemaps, submit to Search Console.
Phase 6: Advanced Optimizations and Completions
- Update and close loops on Tier-1 assets (e.g., add sites to GBP Website, G Stack Sheet, ID Page).
- Order additional boosts like BatchGeo Maps, Cloud Stacks from Semantic Links, and Patch.com announcements.
- Power up assets with link building (e.g., Google Map embeds, niche PBNs).
- Perform blog comment spam for specific posts if needed to enhance rankings.
- Validate all Schema and assets using tools like Schema Markup Validator.
Ongoing Maintenance (Post-Ranking)
Once at least one of the five targeted keywords achieves a top 3 ranking on Google Maps, the Client must continue to maintain and optimize their Google Business Profile to sustain and improve their rankings. Competitors may outrank the Client if ongoing optimization is not maintained. Ranis Media Group, LLC offers ongoing maintenance services for $299 per month to ensure continued performance, including regular GBP updates, content additions, and performance monitoring.
Exclusions
- Any services not explicitly listed, such as paid advertising (e.g., Google Ads), content creation beyond optimizations, or website development (unless separately agreed).
- Installation of additional software or hardware on the Client's systems.
- Ongoing maintenance beyond the initial setup (available as an add-on service for $299/month after top 3 ranking is achieved).
Deliverables
- Customized project workbook with all details and asset URLs.
- Fully optimized GBP profile with media uploads and embeds.
- Setup and initial reports from BrightLocal (citations, rankings, grid, reputation).
- Configured Google tools (Search Console, Analytics, Tag Manager).
- Created Tier-1 assets (social profiles, ID Page, Press Advantage Org Page, G Site & Drive Stack).
- Schema markup added to relevant pages and validated.
- KML/Geo Sitemap files uploaded and submitted.
- Final report summarizing optimizations, initial results, and recommendations for ongoing monitoring.
6-Month Performance Guarantee
Ranis Media Group, LLC guarantees that within 6 months from project completion, at least one of the five targeted keywords will rank in the top 3 on Google Maps. If this goal is not achieved, the Client will receive a full refund of the payment, no questions asked, providing complete peace of mind.
Timeline
- Phase 1-2: Completed within 1-2 weeks of project start.
- Phase 3-4: Completed within 2-3 weeks.
- Phase 5-6: Completed within 4-6 weeks, depending on third-party provider delivery times (e.g., Drive Stacks may take up to 14 days).
- Total project duration: Approximately 6-8 weeks, subject to Client's timely provision of information and approvals.
Responsibilities
Service Provider Responsibilities:
- Perform all tasks as outlined.
- Communicate progress weekly via email or agreed-upon method.
- Use secure and ethical SEO practices compliant with Google guidelines.
- Maintain confidentiality of Client's business information.
Client Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate business information (e.g., NAP details, logos, photos/videos, access to GBP, website, and other accounts).
- Grant necessary access permissions (e.g., WordPress login, domain DNS for verification, or access to non-WordPress website platforms as needed).
- Review and approve deliverables in a timely manner (within 3 business days).
- Pay invoices as per payment terms.
- Commit to ongoing maintenance ($299/month) after achieving a top 3 ranking to sustain and improve rankings, as competitors may outrank the Client without continued optimization.
Pricing and Payment Terms
Option 1: One-Time Payment
- Total Fee: $2,500 (full payment due upfront upon signing, offering a $500 savings compared to the two-month installment plan).
- Payment: Processed online via Square.
Option 2: Two-Month Installment Plan
- Total Fee: $3,000, paid in two automatic installments of $1,500.
- Payment Schedule: First payment of $1,500 due upon signing, second payment of $1,500 automatically charged 30 days later via Square.
Option 3: Five-Month Installment Plan
- Total Fee: $3,500, paid in five automatic installments of $700 each.
- Payment Schedule: First payment of $700 due upon signing, with subsequent payments of $700 automatically charged monthly for four additional months via Square.
Ongoing Maintenance (Post-Ranking)
- After achieving a top 3 ranking for at least one of the five targeted keywords, the Client must engage Ranis Media Group, LLC for ongoing maintenance at $299 per month to maintain and optimize their Google Business Profile. This is critical to sustaining top rankings, as competitors may outrank the Client without continued efforts.
- Payment: Processed automatically via Square on a recurring monthly basis.
Additional Notes
- Payment Method: All payments (one-time, installment, and ongoing maintenance) will be processed online via Square, with recurring payments set up for automatic billing.

Terms and Conditions
- Changes to Scope: Any modifications must be agreed in writing and may affect timeline and cost.
- Termination: Either party may terminate with 14 days' notice; Client pays for work completed.
- Warranties: Ranis Media Group, LLC does not guarantee specific rankings for all keywords due to search engine algorithms but guarantees at least one of the five targeted keywords will rank in the top 3 on Google Maps within 6 months, or a full refund will be provided.
- Liability: Ranis Media Group, LLC is not liable for any losses arising from search engine changes or Client's misuse of assets.
- Intellectual Property: All created assets remain Client's property upon full payment.
- Governing Law: This agreement is governed by the laws of California.
- Dispute Resolution: Disputes will be resolved through negotiation or arbitration.

By electronically signing below, the parties agree to the terms outlined in this SOW.
