  • I.C.T User Agreement

    All students are required to complete the form below in order to use school I.C.T equipment at Titahi Bay Intermediate School. Parents/Caregivers and students signatures are required so both parties are aware of the policy and consequences if expectations are broken. Non-return of this form will mean students will be denied access to any I.C.T equipment.

  • As a safe and responsible user of I.C.T, I will keep myself and other people safe by following the below expectations:

    1. I cannot use school I.C.T equipment until my parent/s and I have signed this user agreement form and returned it to school.
    2. I can only use the computers and other school I.C.T equipment for my school work.
    3. If I am unsure whether I am allowed to do something involving I.C.T, I will ask the teacher first.
    4. I will be given my own user name and password. I will not allow anyone else to use my user name and password.
    5. I can only go online or access the internet at school when a teacher gives permission and an adult is present.
    6. I understand that I must not, at any time, use the internet, email, mobile phones or any I.C.T equipment to be mean, rude, offensive, or to bully, harass or in any way harm anyone while connected to our school, or the school itself, even if it is meant as a ‘joke’.
    7. While at school, I will not attempt to search for things online I know are not acceptable at our school. This includes anything that is rude or violent or uses unacceptable language such as swearing. You must not attempt to get around or bypass, security, monitoring or filtering that is in place at our school.
    8. If I find anything mean or rude or things I know are not acceptable at our school on any I.C.T equipment, I will not show others and will get a teacher straight away.
    9. I understand that I must not download or copy any files such as music, videos, games or programmes without the permission of a teacher. We must follow copyright laws.
    10. I must not bring any device to school and connect it to school I.C.T equipment (this includes wireless technologies). These devices are USB drives, cameras, phones, ipods.
    11. I must not give out any personal information online. These details include names, address, email addresses, phone numbers and photographs.
    12. I will respect and treat all I.C.T equipment with care.
    13. I understand that if I break these rules, the school may need to inform my parents and I might lose the right to use a school computer. In serious cases, the school may take disciplinary action against me. I also understand that my family may be charged for repair costs.
