TOURNAMENT RULES
(Failure To Read Is No Excuse)
CLASSIC DIVISION (Men, Women and Seniors)
1. Eligibility - All 2016-17 TNBA members of the SOUTHERN REGION as defined by TNBA, and who are certified by USBC. Senior Bowlers (Men and Women) must be 55 years or older on or before March 18, 2017.
2. Entry closing date: All entries must be fully paid and filed with the Tournament Director by Friday, March 17, 2017 or the first 120 Men, 60 Women and 60 Seniors. All entries must be accompanied by certified check or money order. (NO PERSONAL CHECKS)
3. CANCELLATION POLICY: A refund minus $10.00 processing fee will be made for cancellations made prior to 72 hours of the start of the tournament. There will be no refunds without a replacement within 72 hours of the tournament minus a $10.00 processing fee.
THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS FOR NO-SHOWS.
4. Tournament Format:
a) All entrants will bowl two (2) four (4) game blocks - (8 games).
b) Field is then cut 50%, based on highest pinfall for eight (8) games. These bowlers will then bowl a four (4) game block.
c) The field is then cut to 20 men, 10 women, and 10 seniors bowlers (Based on entries), highest scorers based on 120 men, 60 women and 60 seniors. These bowlers will then bowl a four (4) game block.
d) The top five (5) bowlers who are finalist, will be determined by the total pinfall for sixteen (16) games. These bowlers will play stair-step position, starting with the fifth (5th) place bowler, who plays the fourth (4th) place bowler and etc.
e) The final roll-off game between the top two (2) finalists for the championship will be bowled on a neutral pair of lanes.
5. In case of a first place tie, there will be two addional frames rolled and continue until the tie is broken. All other ties will result in a split of the prize money. In the event of a tie determing the bowlers for any cut those involved will bowl a two (2) frame roll off to determine who will advance. Traditionally we have used the two-frame roll off for advancement purposes.
6. ALTERNATE BOWLER: When an alternate bowler enters the tournament the bowler that is being replaced cannot return in this tournament. The alternate assumes the score of the bowler he/she is replacing, minus one hundred (100) pins.
7. No TNBA or USBC cards may be purchased at the site. All bowlers must show proof of sanctions in TNBA AND USBC before bowling.
8. All entrants are REQUIRED to wear shirt/blouses with participants name on the back. Tank tops, halter tops , or tee-shirts are not allowed. No jeans (of any color), sweats, or spandex (pants/skirts) will be allowed. Only women bowlers may wear walking shorts (skirts/shorts) cannot be more than 3" above the knee. Bowlers may not wear headgear of any kind. No tennis shoes. There will be a $25.00 fee per squad for any infraction of this rule.
THIS WILL BE ENFORCED.
9. Current PBA/PWBA or Senior PBA members, regardless of classification will not be permitted to bowl in TNBA Tournaments. Past PBA/PWBA/Senior PBA champions, regardless of classification, may be permitted to bowl if their championship was not within the last 10 years. Former PBA/PWBA/ Senior PBA members who have not held a card for the past (1) year are eligible to bowl in TNBA Classic Tournaments. (revised 10/2/2016)
10. Prize fund will be paid 100%. Prize ratio will be at least one (1) prize for every eight (8) entries. Any bowler who qualifies for total winnings of $600.00 or more during the tournament must provide a tax identification number to receive awarded prize(s).
11. Premature termination of the tournament brought about by war, national emergency or emergency causes relating thereto or there from; fires, strikes, lockouts, labor difficulties or other reasons beyond the control of the TNBA Bill Rhodman Classic, shall cause the foregoing prize schedules to be prorated in accordance with the number of entrants who have bowled.
12. All rules not stated above will be governed by TNBA and USBC rules.
13. Anyone employed at any and all Bartholomy Bowling Centers from January 1, 2017 until the tournament is not eligible to participate.
14. The Southern Bill Rhodman Classic Tournament Committe will make all decisions and reserves the right to refuse or reject any entry.
