  • The role of the SYTA membership nominator or seconder is to affirm/confirm that the SYTA Full Membership applicant is teaching according to the Satyananda system of yoga, as outlined on www.syta.org.au and that the applicant has read, accepts and agrees to abide by the SYTA Code of Ethics and the SYTA Code of Professional Practice. In the case of Associate Membership, the role of the nominator or seconder is to verify that they personally know the applicant and confirm that the applicant will support and abide by the declarations of Associate Membership.

    In order to nominate or second another teacher for membership to SYTA, you must be full SYTA member who is currently teaching and is committed to upholding the high standards of teaching in the Satyananda system of yoga, as detailed in the SYTA Codes referred to above.

  • If yes, did you have any concerns about the applicants class?*
  • Are you able to verify if the applicant teaches in the standard Satyananda format of class, ie, asana, pranayama, meditation?*
  • Would you recommend the applicant to teach a general class to your students in your absence?*
  • Have you talked through the SYTA Code of Ethics with the applicant and can confirm that they agree to accept and abide by it?*
