🔹 PRE-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS (ALL BBL TREATMENTS)
Please follow these instructions to ensure your safety and best possible results:
✅ 2 Weeks Before Treatment
Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanners
Discontinue:
Retinols, AHAs/BHAs, Vitamin C serums
Hydroquinone, benzoyl peroxide, and exfoliants
No waxing, threading, tweezing, or depilatory creams on treated area
Let your provider know if you've had recent Botox, filler, or chemical peels
✅ 48–72 Hours Before
Discontinue aspirin, ibuprofen, alcohol, and fish oil (if medically safe)
Stop using any topical irritants on the area
Shave the area the night before your appointment (for LHR only)
✅ Day of Appointment
Arrive with clean, dry skin (no lotion, makeup, SPF, deodorant, etc.)
Wear loose, comfortable clothing
Bring a list of all medications and supplements
🔹 POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
Your skin may feel warm, look red or flushed, or show temporary swelling after treatment. These effects are normal and typically resolve within 24–72 hours.
✅ Care After Any BBL Treatment
Apply cool compresses, cold aloe vera, or thermal water spray to soothe skin
Use gentle cleanser and moisturizer — avoid scrubbing
Apply SPF 30+ daily and reapply if outdoors
Avoid heat, sweating, saunas, and hot showers for 48 hours
Do not pick, exfoliate, or peel dark spots or flaking areas — they will shed naturally
Avoid sun exposure until skin is fully healed
⚠️ What to Expect

Darkening of brown spots → gradual flaking over 5–10 days
Forever Clear
Redness and mild swelling, may require multiple sessions
Cherry Angiomas
Treated vessels may crust or darken before resolving
Hair Reduction (LHR)
Shedding may occur after 7–14 days, which can look like regrowth
📝 CONSENT FOR SCITON BBL TREATMENTS (Multi-Use)
I authorize Aeris Medical Aesthetics and its designated providers to perform BroadBand Light (BBL) treatments using the Sciton platform. I understand that BBL is a light-based technology intended to treat a variety of skin conditions, including pigmentation, vascular lesions, acne, signs of aging, and unwanted hair.
By signing below, I acknowledge and accept the following:
Nature of the Procedure
BBL emits pulses of light absorbed by pigment, blood vessels, acne bacteria, or hair follicles depending on the treatment protocol selected.
Treatment Goals
I understand that multiple treatments may be required and that results vary by skin type, condition, and compliance with pre- and post-care.
Risks and Side Effects
Possible side effects include:
Redness, swelling, warmth (common)
Blistering, scabbing, or temporary bruising
Pigment changes (hyper/hypopigmentation)
Burns or scarring (rare)
Reactivation of cold sores (if prone)
Medications & Contraindications
I have disclosed all medications, including antibiotics, Accutane, and any photosensitizing drugs or skincare.
Pregnancy/Breastfeeding
I confirm I am not pregnant or breastfeeding, or have discussed treatment risks with my provider.
Provider Disclaimer
Treatment will be performed by a trained medical professional. Aeris reserves the right to defer or deny treatment if medically necessary.

While BBL has been shown to be safe and effective, results are not guaranteed. I understand that photos may be used for documentation and education.
