Student Nurse performs above expectations, is able to apply critical thinking in an active clinical setting and performs care in a timely and accurate manner with emphasis on Evidence based practice and patient centered care. Needs little to no direction. Helps other students with their tasks and displays excellence in leadership and professionalism
S=Satisfactory
Student Nurse performs expectations and is able to apply some critical thinking in a clinical setting, student performs care in a timely and accurate manner with some assistance and direction with minimal reminding of patient centered care and evidence based practice. Student will be asked to help others and does not initiate on own. Student adheres to all professionalism requirements and expectations.
N=Needs Improvement
Student Nurse performs less than expected for current level, is able to apply some critical thinking skills to a clinical setting with prompting, student does not perform in a timely manner or needs constant supervision and reminding of tasks that need to be applied or done. Student adheres to most professionalism requirements and expectations.
U=Unsatisfactory
Student Nurse performs less than expected for current level, either performs in a dangerous or haphazard manner without direction from instructor. Student does not apply critical thinking skills, evidence based practice or patient centered care. Student does not apply teamwork or leadership to the clinical setting. Student is disrespectful to patient/client or fellow students, staff or instructor. Student does not come prepared to clinical on time and does not adhere to professionalisms expectations, best practices or policies.
