    Kirbyville CISD Student Transfer Application

    General Information
  • If you would like your child(ren) to be considered for enrollment in Kirbyville CISD, complete the following web-based Application for Student Transfer.  Applications for student transfers must be approved annually.

All applications must be completed via this web-based form. The web-based form is considered complete and returned once you complete the survey. Please complete all applicable fields.

Texas law permits any child, other than a high school graduate, who is younger than 21 years of age and eligible for enrollment on September 1 of any school year to transfer annually from the child’s school district of residence to Kirbyville CISD only if both Kirbyville CISD and the applicant parent or guardian or person having lawful control of the child jointly approve and timely agree to the transfer.

Per FDA (Local Policy) – In approving transfers, the Superintendent or designee shall consider availability of space and instructional staff and the student’s disciplinary history and attendance records.

Kirbyville CISD continually evaluates current and prospective student transfers based upon available instructional space, available staff, student conduct, and student attendance.  Transfer students who demonstrate conduct which is not in compliance with Kirbyville CISD standards or fails to meet compulsory attendance requirements will not be readmitted.  Admitted transfer students shall be responsible for their transportation to and from Kirbyville CISD.

In order to promote a positive learning environment which invites many students to seek transfer into Kirbyville CISD, I ask that each applicant for transfer and his/her parent join in our shared commitment to quality schools by signing the attached agreement.  I am pleased you are interested in applying for transfer into our school district and I look forward to considering your application for transfer.

    Your Partner in Education,

    Stephen Edwards
    Superintendent of Schools

    • We understand that if I am admitted, Kirbyville CISD shall not be responsible for my transportation to and from Kirbyville CISD.

    • We agree that I will make every effort to be an exemplary model student both academically and in my conduct and behavior.

    • We affirm that I have had no more that three (3) unexcused absences in the past 180 days of instruction and that I have had no more than one (1) discipline referral in the current or previous semester.
