Two $1250 scholarships will be awarded to undergraduate students seeking a degree in nature conservation within CASNR.
- Demonstrated strong interest and passion for study toward a degree in nature conservation. Nature conservation includes birds and the farms that love them; butterflies, bees and the flowers that invite them; and the diversity of the life forms and habitats that allow the natural world and ours to persist forever. Nature conservation thrives in concert with people through harmony and respect for family farms and rural communities.
- Eligible degrees include
- majors within the School of Natural Resources including Environmental Studies,
- Insect Science,
- Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Communications, and
- Biological Systems Engineering in the College of Engineering.
- Student must have clear focus toward conservation nature and the diversity of life on Earth, with an understanding of the important role of family farms and rural communities.
Your application information may be provided to the University of Nebraska Foundation or Donor in order to aid in choosing a recipient, invite you to attend a scholarship meeting/luncheon with the donors of your scholarship or provide more information or promote on your award in their publications. Scholarships may be changed or discontinued by the donor at any time.
Recipients may re-apply each year.
