Nomination for President's Award
Thank you for nominating a volunteer team for GSEMA's President's Award. It is through the work of our volunteer teams, service units, and committees that Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts is able to offer significant leadership opportunities to our girls.
The President's Award recognizes the efforts of a geographic-area team, service unit, service-delivery team or committee whose exemplary service in support of delivering the GSLE resulted in significant, measurable impact toward reaching the council’s overall goals.
1. Please fill out this form. Successful nominations are clear and descriptive; please see our Tips for Writing a Strong Nomination for further guidance. All statements should show how the group or committee impacted the council through achieving and/or exceeding its goals. Use numbers and quantifying statements such as, "XYZ service unit increased membership by 5%, recruiting over 100 new girls and 45 adults." Forms must be received on or before February 15th without exception.
2. Submit three letters of endorsement to Customer Care at CustomerCare@gsema.org. Letters of endorsement can come from Girl Scouts, community members, elected officials, girls and more. At least one must be a GSEMA staff member. Letters must be received on or before February 15th without exception.
3. Review and Submission. Once a nomination and three endorsement letters are submitted, the Volunteer Recognition Committee reads through each nomination and endorsement. The Committee then makes recommendations to the Board of Directors.
After the board has made a decision on each nomination, our CEO will send a congratulatory letter to the Service Unit Coordinator or Committee Chair along with an invitation to the Volunteer Recognition Luncheon.
Please note: this form is ONLY to recognize volunteer teams, service units or committees and should not be used for individuals. Please use this form to nominate individuals.
