HRSB Oil and Gas College - Market Survey on Program to be Offered - Diploma in Engineering Technology (Welding Management)

HRSB Training Sdn Bhd is a subsidiary company of the HSE Resources Sdn Bhd (HRSB) and a training center that began operations from 2004 till now and has issued training certificates for safety and skills in the oil and gas field to more than 5000 participants. Our development plan is to establish a College which can offer diploma programs relating to the oil and gas industry. Our aim is to provide adequate skilled manpower in the field of oil and gas in the state of Melaka and Johor especially for the RAPID project in Pengerang Johor. HRSB Training Sdn Bhd has proposed to offer new academic programmes which are:

•Diploma in Engineering Technology (Scaffolding Management)
•Diploma in Engineering Technology (Welding Management)
•Diploma in Engineering Technology (Mechanical Plant Maintenance)

The papers for the program offerings were developed by a program development committee, comprising all subject matter expert from industries, and proposed to be offered by the School of Engineering Technology. In the process of obtaining new program offerings from the Department of Higher Education (DGT), the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia, responsible IPTA was required to study the feedback from outsiders especially from the industry. Thus, the program development committee in the process of conducting market research in the first phase. Feedback form The questionnaire used was developed by the Ministry of Education (now the Ministry of Higher Education) and was modified by a team which can be divided into three main divisions: (1) content of programme and its relevance to the needs of organisation, (2) career opportunities, and (3) others.

This survey will be focusing on the Diploma in Engineering Technology (Welding Management) program.
