All exercising (i.e., aerobic, Zumba, running) or vigorous physical activity should be avoided for the first 48 hours. Avoid activities that will cause to you sweat.
Direct sunlight exposure is to be completely avoided immediately following the treatment (including any strong UV light exposure and tanning beds). If some sun exposure cannot be avoided, first apply sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or greater. Sunscreen (with at least a SPF of 30) should become a part of your daily skin care regimen as your skin will become more sensitive to the sun as a result of this treatment.
Cleanse your face with tepid water and/or a very mild cleanser.
-Such as SkinScript Pomegranate Cleanser or SkinScript GreenTea Citrus Cleanser. DO NOT use cleansing wipes.
Gently moisturize your face.
-Skin Script Cucumber Toner and Hydrating Moisturizer a minimum of 2 times a day.
-Follow with SPF 30 every day, reapplying every 2 hours during continuous sun exposure.
Do NOT apply any type of glycolic acid or exfoliation products as this can severely damage or irritate the skin during the entire healing process.
DO NOT peel, rub, use a towel, or scratch your skin at anytime, whatsoever. This WILL cause damage and compromise your results as well as possibly cause severe scarring.
For microneedling try your best to AVOID using any type of facial makeup liquid or cover-up makeup and a exfoliator for the first 24 hours.
AVOID waxing for at least 7 days.
If you experience painful areas of the face, contact your skin care therapist immediately, especially if you are prone to cold sores. Any blisters that form will need to be reported immediately.
In the event that you may have additional questions or concerns regarding your treatment or suggested home product/post-treatment care, you must consult your therapist immediately.
Additional instructions:
Keep skin cool; do not sit near open flame; if you are not already doing so, drink 8-10 bottles/glasses of water each day for the next 4-5 days.
DO NOT apply Neosporin to your skin.
All of the above post-treatment/home care should be adhered to for the next 4-5 days.
