APPLICATION QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2026 graduating high school senior from a school in Fort Bend County
- Minimum "unweighted" GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
- Plans to attend a college, university, or technical school as a full-time student in Fall 2026
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Official Transcript submitted from your high school Registrar
- Completed Application
- Personal Essay – Typed, double spaced, and 12 pt. Times New Roman font; should not extend beyond two (2) pages; the essay should highlight:
- Your academic and personal accomplishments
- Your school and community involvement
- Your educational and career goals
- Your reason(s) for applying for this scholarship
- Why you should be chosen to receive the scholarship
- How these funds will assist you with your educational pursuit
- Two (2) letters of recommendation (must not be written by the applicant); Please click HERE to access our [Tips For Writing Strong Letters of Recommendation] and share them with your chosen references to assist them in the process.
- One (1) from a counselor, principal, or teacher – Must be signed and on official school letterhead which includes their contact information (email and phone number)
- One (1) from another source (example: athletic coach, pastor, employer) – Must be signed and on letterhead which includes their contact information (email and phone number)
- Professional Headshot with a clear background

The following documents must be uploaded with your application:
- Two (2) letters of recommendation (must not be written by the applicant)
- One (1) from a counselor, principal, or teacher – Must be signed and on official school letterhead which includes their contact information (email and phone number)
- One (1) from another source (example: athletic coach, pastor, employer) – Must be signed and on letterhead which includes their contact information (email and phone number)
- Letters must:
- Verify applicant’s statement of scholastic achievement and public service.
- Confirm the relationship to applicant; the length of time knowing and in what capacity.
- Explain the applicant’s community involvement or scholastic activities.
- Identify applicant’s current or past leadership responsibilities.
- State applicant’s personal characteristics and accomplishments.
- Personal Essay – Typed, double spaced, and 12 pt. Times New Roman font; should not extend beyond two (2) pages. In a brief autobiographical essay highlight:
- Your academic and personal accomplishments
- Your school and community involvement
- Your educational and career goals
- Your reason(s) for applying for this scholarship
- Why you should be chosen to receive the scholarship
- How these funds will assist you with your educational pursuit
- Professional Headshot with a clear background
