The purpose of this program is to help individuals and families provide a special Christmas meal and gifts for their children. We recognize the many financial pressures households face throughout the year, and it is our hope to help reduce some of that burden during the Christmas season.

  • Household Income

Please enter the combined Line 15000 (Total Income) for all income earners living in your household.

This includes employment income, pensions, disability benefits, government benefits, self-employment income, and any other taxable income reported on a 2025 tax return.

Add together the Line 15000 amounts for every member of your household and enter the total. Do not enter only the applicant's income.

  • Your reported household income exceeds our standard income eligibility guidelines. We recognize that households may experience financial hardship for many reasons. Please explain the circumstances that are affecting your household and why you are seeking assistance at this time.

You may wish to include information about:

    • Unexpected expenses
    • Medical or disability-related costs
    • Job loss or reduced income
    • Family changes or emergencies
    • Debt obligations
    • Other circumstances affecting your financial stability

Applications that exceed the income guideline may still be considered on a case-by-case basis. Providing detailed information will help us fully assess your situation.

  • Your reported household income appears significantly below the expected range for a household of your size. To help us better understand your current financial situation, please provide the following information:

    1. Your total annual household income.
    2. All sources of household income, including employment income, government benefits (such as the Canada Child Benefit), social assistance, pensions, child support, Employment Insurance, disability benefits, or any other sources of financial support.
    3. Your current monthly rent, mortgage payment, or housing costs.
    4. A brief explanation of how your household is currently meeting its living expenses (for example: savings, support from family or friends, loans, benefits, temporary circumstances, or other sources of assistance).

This information helps us assess your application fairly and understand your household's unique circumstances.
