Notification sound on email submission is at full volume

I have an email sent to my android device (6.0.1) each time a submission is received. Even with the volume on mute my device is notifying at full volume. This is the only event notifying at full volume. Is there an issue with Jotform bypassing this? What can I do to require sounds obey the settings?

You must be referring to the JotForm Android app. Let us know if its a different thing.

As far as I know the app should have no effect on the hardware settings of your device. I had it tested on my android device as well, and I could not replicate the same anomaly.

Nonetheless I had this thread submitted to the higher team support. I seek confirmation from them if in case the Android app settings have effect on the device configuration.

This is not related to the Android app. I didn't know there was one but I
will download it next.

So it was on your email only right? I don't think the submission email will really have effect on how your email client/reader internal features function.
