How can I send a response to the submitted form?Asked by dotgirish on December 02, 2016 at 01:11 AM
I am using jotform for my SEO Service, once i get my order form, I will complete my work and I need to submit my work report in the form and send it back.
Right now I am using the reply button and sending a link to the client, but my problems are
1. I am not able to track my reply in the form later, is there a way you can store the response i send linked to the form.2. Can i include an attachment while i respond to the form and store it and linked to the respective forms. It would be very easy to track it later.
Unfortunately, I couldn't understand what you mean by "track my reply in the form later". If you mean that after someone submits your form, you want to give a response to him and you want to keep this response in your order form. This responses will be personal; therefore, you need to keep an email address (or an unique id etc) of the submitters to notify them.
Basically, you can pass a value from one form to another. Please have a look at the following demo: https://form.jotform.com/63342719445964
When you click the submit, your email pass to the second form. However, if someone open the second form directly, he will see an empty email field in the form. In other words, even you pass a value to your form, other people cannot see this passes value in their form.
According to my understanding, the only way is to send an email to submitters, when you response his submission. You don't need write submitter's email again. Please have a look at the following video:
Please have follow this guide about how to pass a fields' value to another: Prepopulating-Fields-to-Your-JotForm-via-URL-Parameters
If it is not the issue, please explain your first question more detailed.
I have opened a new thread for your second question. Please follow your issue from this thread: https://www.jotform.com/answers/1002386
