Can I use the subscription feature in jotform with a basic paypal account?

Or do I need to upgrade to a recurring payment plan with paypal?

According to the PayPal website: https://www.paypal.com/pdn-recurring. Subscriptions and Recurring Payments is only available for Business or Premier accounts.

I suggest you switch your Basic PayPal account to Business PayPal account in order to use the subscription feature in JotForm.

So jotform taps into the paypal feature or does jotform do the recurring?  If it's jotform, then there shouldn't be a need to pay the 20.00/mo fee to paypal.  I have that with paypal now and it also allows me to set a maximum number of payments for subscriptions.  You say you "suggest" I do that for the subscription feature with Jotform...My question is: Must I do it, or does jotform do individual requests through the life of the subscription, effectively providing the recurring feature?  Do you understand my question?...I guess the fact you said that you "suggest" I upgrade my PayPal leaves it open to me that you're not sure if I need to or not, but to do it to be on the safe side...Please let me know if you know for sure that I need to upgrade from basic paypal or if JotForm employs a recurring utility...Thanks!  Trying to save a buck wherever I can!...LOL

Unfortunately, you will need to get either a Business or Premier account on PayPal if you want to use the sell subscriptions option in the PayPal integration.

Otherwise you will be able to integrate it with your form, but it will not work at the moment of processing the subscription on the PayPal's end.
