Spanish accent letters not showing properly when form is created and saved through Jotform V4.
- ddaprAsked on December 05, 2016 at 09:13 AM
I've been working on a form all morning. It's in Spanish and it seems that when I save it, certain characters such as accent marks become weird codes or something/ Is there any way this can be fixed? Thanks in advance for your answer.

Yes, you should be able to create forms in another language. I have checked your form (http://www.jotform.co/form/61787083355868) and I see the characters shown in the image below.
I was able to fix some of it, like the one shown in the image below by using Google Translate.
Are those text copied from somewhere and not manually typed?
I suggest you also try to type those special characters used to emphasize accents, using "Alt Codes" as explained in this guide I saw over the internet.
http://www.spanishdict.com/guide/how-to-type-spanish-accents-and-letters
This is how it should look like when you use the "Alt codes"
I hope this helps. Let us know if you need any further assistance regarding this.
Thank you.

or save the form the weird codes will be there instead.
The "Ctrl" codes work on Spanish keyboards, mine is in English.
I don't know what to do. I am typing this, not copying and pasting!

In one of the images I have shown you above, the "Alt+Codes" I have added still exist in my form even after I have closed it.
I cloned your form have updated some of it: https://form.jotform.com/63400711709954
You will see that the letters are properly saved.
I can only update some since I'm not familiar with the Spanish language.
I, however, see where the issue is. It seems that "Alt+Codes" are not properly saved when you are in Jotform V4.
I suggest that before you enter the form builder page of your form to edit it, change the Form Builder version settings of your account first. https://www.jotform.com/myaccount/settings
After that, edit your form and put in the correct accent letters using "Alt+codes" then save your form.
That should fix the issue you're having.
I will submit the issue that's happening in V4 to our developers so they can take a look at it.
Thank you.
