    Hi,

We are planning to use JotForm to capture some expression of interest, however when reviewing the terms of use we are confused on the meaning of the paragraph for Forms and Submissions. The last part of the paragraph states:

"When you make a Form, Submissions page or a Report "public", you grant Company a worldwide and fully sublicensable license to use, distribute, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, publicly perform, and publicly display your Forms and Submissions (in whole or in part) in any format or medium now known or later developed. Company does not pre-screen forms or submissions and you agree that you are solely responsible for all of your Forms and User Submissions."

Does this mean that JotForm could disclose the submissions and the data we collect in the form?. Some explanation around this would be helpful.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

    Thank you for contacting us.

That clause you have stated goes under number two (2) of the privacy policy statement.  The privacy policy states that:

    2. Submission Data. We respect the privacy of our users and the privacy of their client data. All user information contained within the forms you may use or build on the JotForm Site are governed by our Terms of Service. You retain all rights to your data. We will not sell, share data. We will not access your data for non-administrative reasons.

The terms of use may be confusing on some parts such as what you have brought up, but we do not publish the submissions that you received as just what I have stated.
