Is there a way to format the required fields?

When I'm in preview mode and I select a field that is required, then click off of it, there is a bright red ribbon that covers the majority of the field making it difficult to then go back and edit or fill that section out. Is there a way to remove or minimize this ribbon and a way to change the color to something more muted?

You should be able to edit the error state highlight/color by using the Form Designer Tool. 

Here's a screenshot to where to find it:

After clicking the gear icon, you'll see the options to change the style and the color of the error state:

However, if you applied a theme on your form and the theme changed the style of the error state, we might need to use custom CSS code to further adjust it.
