    Setting up Conditions in Notifications

    I'm running into an issue when it comes to receiving notification emails and using conditions.


    I had the setup working in which if someone selected any of the degree programs EXCEPT Doctor of Ministry and Doctor of Educational Ministry then I would receive a notificaiton at richm@... but if someone selected one or both of those two degrees (either with or without selecting others) the notification would go to another email address in another department. So, in some cases, when people inquired about multiple degrees, we both (both departments) would receive the notifications. 

    All conditions work until I add a new condition to send a new selection (Doctor of Theology) to additional recipients. When I added a new condition for a new recipient (for whom I want to ONLY get emails for this one option), I no longer get the notification email myself (in this case, I DO want to get it), even though a condition is set to send to me. When I remove the other recipient condition, the emails start coming to me again. 

    Make sense? What is the snag?

    Hi , you should try to create another notification template for that particular email address and setup 2 conditions for each of them


    I made a clone and did some tests, you should recieve the notifcacion in both addresses

    Let me know if it worked

    Thank you for your help! This worked. I'm starting to understand, but the way that conditions interact with notifications is still quite confusing. I'm not entirely sure why a new notification needed to be added. 


    I really appreciate the promptness and overall helpfulness of JotForm support's responses on this forum!

    I am very glad to know it worked!

    Let me see if I can explain you this a little bit.

    The reason why you have to add a new notification is because you try to send an email to 2 different addresses at the same time, when a submission is done and when the same condition is matched, 

    On the previous cases, the conditions are totally different, and the notification1 overrides the current email configuration when you set a condition to match  "doctor of Ministry" and "Doctor of Education" , that is why the emails goes to the other person's email address and not to your email address, UNLESS they select ANOTHER options besides the two matched options.

    Hope I have helped to clear this to you, and not the contrary
