Hi, I am creating an application form and have a few questions: Can applicants return and edit their submissions later? Do they have to be users / sign up to submit their answers? Thanks in advance, Kristina

The applicants can edit their submissions by clicking on Edit Submission link on the autoresponder email they receive.
Firstly, you need to set Autoresponder Email to your form. You can find related user guide below.
Please have a look at the screenshots below.
1. Click on Emails button in your Form Builder.
2. Edit the Autoresponder Email and go to Advanced segment. Enable Send on Edit.
Please have a look at the user guide for further information.
Below, there is a part of the autoresponder email that contains Edit Link. By clicking on edit submission options, you are able to edit them.
As for your second question,
Do they have to be users / sign up to submit their answers? ,
Anyone can make submissions to the JotForm form you create. It is not obligatory for applicants to have JotForm account.
