How can I create an email request pop up window?

I am currently using Squarespace for a blog that I am creating. I am looking for a pop up maker that will let me have a pop-up window that prompts the visitor for their email so they can receive the monthly newsletters from me and my blog. I was recommended by Squarespace support to use jotform to create my pop up window and then use the custom code that would be generated and put it in my Squarespace website. I am having trouble figuring out what I need to do exactly. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and consideration.
