Thousands of form views from our own IP, what is the cause?

Thanks for your reply but I have to agree that something is wrong with the tracking of views.  Twice this month we have exceeded our view quota with 15 thousand or more views in one day all coming from our IP.  In one case for a form that is not published on any web site and has not been edited for some time.

I believe that JotForm has a bug.  We are using Windows 10 on all of our computers.

I ran our fix to recalculate your form views and it does seem as though there was a bug.  The total went from 15k+ to 197.  If this happens again, let us know and we will forward it to our developers to have a look.

Because this has happen on two occasions this month, and with several other incidents reported I would respectfully suggest that this go to the developers now.

Just noticed you mentioned a "fix".  Is that a fix that should work going forward so I can un-check the JotForm Footer?

What the fix did was recalculate the correct total for your form views.  Adding the footer increases your total allowed to unlimited but does not affect the current total.  After running the fix, the correct total of views is updated in your account.  In this case, the total went from 15,000 or so views to only 197 views.  This put your account well below its limits once again and you can remove the footer.

The fix should work going forward, however, I cannot guarantee that it will since I do not know the root cause.  If the views do return, we can have the developers look at exactly what is causing them.

Yes, the footer will increase your view limit to unlimited.  As long as the forms weren't disabled already, activated the footer would allow them to continue to function as normal until we are able to have a look.
