Send Post data submission hang on Please and not redirecting

Just wondering if it is normal behavior for the jotform submission itself to hang on "Please wait while we are processing your request" after sending post data to a custom PHP page? If it helps, the user is then redirected with the header function to a real "Thank You" page at my website. What results is a new tab opening with my sites "Thank You" page and the Jotform submission tab hanging on the aforementioned message. This might be a bit disconcerting to users even though my Thank You page tells them we have received their submission.

    Hello,

I just made a test submission on your form, what I noticed is that it takes a while to redirect to the thank you page, but it did after a couple of seconds.

Are you still having problems with the redirection on your end?

Well, it's not that it's not redirecting to the thank you page, but that even after redirecting to the thank you page in a new tab, the form is still hanging on "Please wait while we are processing your request" in the tab the submission was made in. From what I can tell, it is still recording the submission properly. I was just wondering if this was normal.

Or perhaps on your end the same tab that the submission was done in is also the same tab that is redirected to the thank you page?

    Hello,

I have checked your website and your form.

I was able to submit the form properly in your website and the page has directed me to the PayPal page in order to receive my credentials in the same tab where I have fulfilled the form. I did not enter my PayPal information and I have seen my submission in your Incomplete Payments of the submission page.

As I have seen that you have redirected your form after submitting to another URL(http://virginiamontessoriassociation.org/thanks/). It is not normal that if the form has been redirecting to the thank you page in a new tab while the form is still hanging on "Please wait while we are processing your request" in the same tab of the submission was made in.

I have cloned your form into my side and tried it. I have to delete the PayPal field. Please find the screen below to see how is the normal case:

Please check again and if the issue still persists, let us know.

Also, If it is possible could you please send us screenshots related the issue?

    Thank you.

Ah I figured out what was going on. After some experimentation, I figured out the problem was that I was always submitting the test forms with the "Preview" option. When I submitted the form from a live instance (?preview=true removed) the form redirected to the thank you page within the same tab. I guess I took it for granted that a preview instance would not have a different behavior than a live instance of the form.

    Thank you for the assistance.
