Circumvent the no prepopulate of the dropdown list

Hello Jotform staff,

As you were really helpful in the past, I would need your help again. My issue to be sorted out is this:

Previously my form used full date, which was prepopulated via a link, which after setup worked well. As many of our orders come from straight of the order page (http://skinnytrans.ie/order_En.html) we had no way to predetermine what the customers write in, leading to many problems. 

So I plan to replace the Date field to a dropdown list, with the available options, but as I learned on your forums dropdown lists are unable to be prepopulated. So here is the issue: I need a dropdown list that has an alternative to be prepopulated via link. My idea is that I can create a simple text field, which is prepopulated via link, and hide the dropdown, but going to the order page the dropdown list is available but the text field is hidden. I thought a hidden (not visible to the user) checkbox or radiobutton.

Please advise, and let me know that is this idea viable or not.

If I understand your concern correctly, you want to prepopulate the Date dropdown field in your form: http://www.jotformeu.com/form/62535546166359. You can prepopulate the field in your form by passing the exact option value to the URL. Example: http://www.jotformeu.com/form/62535546166359?date55=2017/03/26%20to%20Ireland.

I tried to recreate your link on the Hungarian form (http://skinnytrans.ie/order.html?feladoCime[country]=Ireland&datum55=2017/01/14%20Magyarorszagra), to no avail. The link doesnt change the dropdown from the original default.

I did check your form and found that you have enabled the "Continue Forms Later" feature and that is causing this issue. Please check the screenshot below:

Please note that when the continue forms later feature is enabled, it saves the input data in browser cache and when the form is loaded again it select the previously selected data.

I would suggest you to please disable the continue forms later feature and that should solve your problem.
