How can I make my entire form narrower, forcing text to wrap, so that it fits in the body area of https://batgap.com/batgap-general-information-form/ and there's no horizontal scrolling?

Please add Mobile Responsive widget to your form, to see is that will resolve your issue with embedded form. Inside of this guide you can find how to add widget to the form:

Thanks. That did it. Is there a way of getting rid of the vertical scroll bar and just having the entire form sit in the body of the page.

I'm checking your website https://batgap.com/batgap-general-information-form/ but I cannot see the vertical scroll bar.

If you embedded the form using the iFrame embed code, it is possible that the <script> code included in the embed code may conflict with your website's own scripts, causing the iFrame to NOT adjust its height, it would have a fixed height which would trigger a scroll bar if the screen size/display is smaller.

I also see that you are embedding the form on a Wordpress website, perhaps this guide might help: https://www.jotform.com/help/324-A-guide-to-forms-for-WordPress-users

Let us know if they work.

Your answer to another of my questions, recommending that I use iFrame, solved the problem of the vertical scroll bar. Thanks.

We're glad to hear that, Rick. The iFrame embed method prevents most kind conflicts between your website and the form, which is why the iFrame embed method is preferred. We're glad to hear that it also solved the issue with the sizing of your form.
