Is it possible to change the notice: This field is required to reflect the type of data missing? ; eg
A required address field has no data, alternative text would read Address is Required or Phone number is missing text would read Phone number is required ; and so on.
Thank you and seasons greetings :)
Regards
Robert

Hi Robert,
You do can modify the Form Warnings error messages.
Base on the field data type, look for the error message specific to the field data type.
Ex: if its a date value... you can change the error message pertaining to date field.
Hope this help. Let us know how it goes.

Are you indicating that I can change each message as I show below?:
If you see the indicators above they are specific to the fields that are missing data.
I hope this helps with my question.

If you would like to edit the form warnings of your form in JotForm version 4, please follow the instructions below:
1. In the form builder, select and click Settings > Show Advanced.
2. Scroll down and look for the Form Warnings then click Edit.
3. There you can now edit the Form warnings.
Do let us know if you need further assistance.

Hi guys,
OK.. Looking at this and I don't see how to accomplish what I'm asking about in my image above. Where do I change the text for each input field to read what Is missing from that particular field.
Or perhaps I'm missing all that can be accomplished here.
In any case if not here is my explanation again.
In ref to form: 61013950784960
I'm assuming I would have to add some javascript to do the following;
if input {first_3} or input {last_3} is false then the warning reads "First and last names are required ".
if input {id_13} is false then the warning reads "An address is required"
if input {id_15} is false then the warning reads "A province selection is required"
;and so on down through each field with warning text designed for that field.
Now I know we can't alter or add Javascript unless the form code is embedded at our site, which is the case for this particular form, so I guess I need some help formatting the script to work.
I hope I'm clear now on what I am attempting to accomplish. If you have a closer look at my image it may help
Thank you!
Regards
Robert

Hello Robert,
I found this example: http://jsfiddle.net/aoksoh69/17/ I'm not sure if this could work for you since it is displaying an error message on click. Also, I found this example that will show a pop-up: https://jsfiddle.net/wjxu1pko/2/. This could be applied to your form, but that will require download of the whole source code of the form.
Please let us know your thoughts.
Thank you!

Hi Nick,
I think that the first example would be inline with my request.
Like your script it identifies required fields with no input when the submit button is clicked. I think there would be a bit of script to write for the fields in question. I could clone the form at site and try to add the script. The problem I see that would occur is the JF form script and this script interfering with one another. The JF script would have to be eliminated I should think?
As I said we use this form embedded at site because we use our db to verify membership for pricing.
Thanks for understanding my request and finding possible solutions, much appreciated.
Can I call upon you for assistance as my JS is very poor?
Thank you!
Regards
Robert

Yes. There may be a possibility of conflict with the form default error messages and new error messages added through the script. Since you say that you'll embed the form using source code, you may write the code to display the error message as per your requirement.
You can get back to us anytime if you need any further assistance with your code. One of our support team members can assist you.
Cheers!
