This article is misleading and seems to have a hidden agenda promoting Authorize.net over Stripe. Both services charge the same per transaction fee of 2.9% plus $.30. However, Authorize.net charges a $49 setup fee AND a $25 monthly gateway fee. Stripe does not have a setup fee or a monthly gateway fee.

First of all, there is no hidden agenda. In fact, we are a long time partner with Stripe, and we love working with them. If we had such an agenda, we'd put Authorize.net above Stripe in our list in the form builder.

I don't know about this particular case. The advertised payment rates can actually be different than what they are getting. For example, we use Stripe for our payments (JotForm paid plan subscriptions) and we have a better rate than 2.9. Once you have volume, the payment providers will give you better rates. Sometimes they will give you even better rates to move from a competitor. My guess is that that's probably what happened.

In either case, we love having both Stripe and Authorize.net. We support them both. Use whichever works for you. Both are very good.
