    HI,

I've created a form where parents can make a reservation.

I'm using Appointment slots and it works perfect.

The problem is when I send the invitation for reservation to the parents, parents create the same reservation at the same time.  So I have double bookings.  As long as the "Send" button is not clicked, appointment slots is not up-to-date and theirfore parents can create the same appointments.

Is their a way to avoid this.  Maybe message when the form is busy?

I hope I made myself clear.

    Regards

    Hi,

    Thank you for contacting us.

Unfortunately, JotForm does not have any feature of displaying a message when someone else is filling the form.

Is the number of available items for each slot is 10? Or do you want only one reservation made for one slot?

If this is the case, you can avoid double booking by restricting the number of the Appointment Times available. Kindly follow the steps below.

I cloned your form with ID:62653313160346 and made inspections on my side. Please note that I made changes on Maandag 30/01/2017 field in the cloned form.

    1. Click on the wizard as shown in the screenshot below.

    2. In the General Settings, you can alter the number of items per each time. Additionally, you can limit the number of selections of the slots from Max Selection field.

Please have a look at the video below. I set only one available item for the first slot. After the user chooses that slot and made submission, that slot cannot be changed again.

    I hope these helps.

If I did misunderstand your problem, could you provide us more details about it?

    Waiting for your response.

    Thank you.

    HI,

In this case, the number of reservations is 10, but in another form, I only have 1 reservation.

e.g.  when the parents book a appointment with the teacher, theire can be only 1 at the time, so I set appointment slot to {1}  but when different parents choose this at the same time, I have 2 bookings for 1 slot and this is what I would like to avoid.

    Thx for the quick reply

    Hi,

As my colleague mentioned that there is no such a feature to update the form after loading process if someone submits the appointment for the same time. In other words, after the form is loaded to the browser, it will not be refreshed automatically when someone selects and submits slot for the same time.

I have also replicate your issue in Appointment Slot. We could submit 2 appointments for 1 slot.

I also replicated the same issue in Gift RegistryMultiSelect Grid and Inventory Widgets.

Could you please give me some time to make more investigation on your issue and find an alternative for your issue?

I'll back to you as soon as possible.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

We are sorry for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, Appointment Slot, Gift Registry, MultiSelect Grid and Inventory Widgets provide an appointment for the same slot both in the form interface and in the submissions page. This happens only when 1 slot left for an appointment.

This is a bug. Therefore, I have raised this issue to our developers now. When they fix the issue for this widget, they will back to you as soon as possible but we can not give you any time frame when this will be fixed.

If you need any further assistance, please feel free to let us know.

    Thank you.

    HI,

Thanks for your reply.  I've cloned your form but when I'm trying to use it, it directly give me an error that Monday and Tuesday are required fields.  Even if I try to choose Monday or Tuesday or both, the errors stays and I can't send the form.

    Am I missing something?

    Thanks

    Hi again,

I managed to get it working but it didn't solve my problem.

I tried to open the form twice in the same browser, choose on both forms 'Monday' and clicked within 1 second on both submit buttons, both forms are correctly submitted.

And that is my problem, as I created a form and is sent to the parent, they start immediatly to submit forms, sometimes within seconds, they have choosen the same option and submitted

and that is my problem, can it be checked on clicking the submit button?

    Thanks again

    Hi again,

We are sorry for the confusion.

I have already raised your issue to our developers and they are working on this bug now. Priority of this bug is assigned as Urgent. When they fix your issue, they will back to you as soon as possible and inform you via this thread.

On the other hand, I have mentioned that I replicated your issue in Appointment SlotGift RegistryMultiSelect Grid and Inventory WidgetsWe could submit 2 or maybe more appointments for 1 available space. This happens if we submit the forms (2 forms for example) in 1 second for the same appointment. This is the point in your issue.

If you need any further assistance, please feel free to let us know.

    Thank you for your understanding.
