Is it possible to limit the number of people who can choose each item in a drop-down menu?

    I create registration forms for events that have 3-5 breakout sessions.  Sometimes we need to limit the number of people who can register for each breakout session because of room capacities, etc.  Is it possible to put a cap on how many people can choose each item in a drop-down question?

    I'm playing with the Ticket Purchases widget, but it takes up a lot of space; I'd rather have the look of a drop-down because each workshop title is pretty long.  Is there a way to do that?

    I also need to be able to apply conditional logic depending on which session people choose; that does not appear possible with Ticket Purchases.  Am I out of luck?

    I'm afraid the Ticket Purchases Widget is the closest widget that will fit your requirement. You can't achieve something similar with a regular dropdown menu.

    If you're worried that the widget eats up a lot of space, we can re-design it using CSS (e.g. adjusting the font-size to be smaller).

    Can you take a look at this form and see if that looks better: https://form.jotform.com/63546975379980

    Here's the before and after for comparison:

    These are the CSS Codes that I used:

    #checklist li {

       font-size: 12px;

    }

    And this is where/how I placed it:

    Yes, that does look a lot better!  Thank you for taking the time to do it!  I tried to add CSS, but I don't have a background in it and couldn't figure out the right code.

    My biggest problem now is the need for conditional logic depending on the item people choose; that does not seem possible with this widget.  I did try, and I ran into trouble when it asked for a VALUE instead of a multiple choice item. Perhaps there's a code I can put in the VALUE box indicating that if someone chooses item #1, for example, then a certain condition should be applied?

    Great! I'm glad that helped.

    Since your most recent question is now about a different topic (Conditions), I have moved it to a separate thread https://www.jotform.com/answers/1016514

    We'll have it addressed there shortly.
