Updating form does not transfer to emailed form

    When I update a form and I receive an email I do not receive the reflected email updates but they are shown in the submissions section on the Jot Form website.

    Is there a way to change this with out having to change the email alert

    It is actually the e-mail alert that's causing this issue. See, when you modify an email alert in any way, it becomes flagged as "dirty", and as such, it will no longer get updated automatically each time you apply changes to your form - such as adding/removing fields.

    The easiest solution to this is to recreate your email alerts, but if you're a person who's fond of customizing email alerts, that's not the most ideal thing to do.

    In this case, manually updating the email alert should do the trick. But how exactly can it be done?

    See the Form Fields list found at the right hand side of your email alert's Compose Email screen?


    Each item under that list corresponds to the [updated] fields in your form. Clicking these items will generate the correct and updated placeholder for the filled values.

    If you have just added a new field and you want it to appear in the email alert, you can use the table tools in the Compose Email screen to add new rows.

    You can also delete a row, insert and delete columns. Try them as those are pretty useful email customization tools.
