    Hello,

Im looking to check people in at different locations of a building for an event. As of now I made a form and took the attendees names and added them to an Auto Complete drop down so when the attendes show up and start to write their name it will start to show up. Is there anyway I can import my excle with the atendes names and contact information so when they selecte there name in the form it will check them in on my Grid report?

Not sure if this is an option but just wanted to check!

    Thank you

    ps. have a happy holiday!

    Hello,

I have checked your account and your form named "Admissions Event Sign In".

You can export your submission list as an Excel file in order to check who are going to attend to your event as the following document link: https://www.jotform.com/help/44-How-to-Export-Form-Data-to-Excel.

And then, you can use an excel tool to compare your full input list and the submission list as you can find it at the following link: https://www.ablebits.com/office-addins-blog/2016/02/25/compare-two-excel-files-sheets/#view-side-by-side

There is not any automatic check inside JotForm, yet. So that, I have created a feature request for our software development team in order to consider implementing it. However, we can not promise if it will certainly be implemented or when it will be implemented.

Moreover, you do not need an Autocomplete widget for 19 people. If you have a drop-down list of more than 100 entries, the dropdown becomes unusable for the users. So, it is recommended to use an autocomplete field in such case. You can use a drop-down list for this purpose, also.

If you need any further assistance or clarification, do not hesitate to contact us.

    Thank you.

    Hello Candy,

Thank you for the quick response! Also thanks for that second link, that's a faster way then I was planning on using. The 19 people are only a test, our events can range to between 500-1000 guest. Is there a limit to how many people I can out in an autocomplete widget?

    Thanks again!

    Hello again,

The autocomplete widget will not accept more than 1800 entries, probably.

    For your information.
