How can I change the lead field mappings for the salesforce.com integration?Asked by limstitute on May 23, 2012 at 12:07 PM
I am mapping the form fields for the lead object. In salesforce the lead record has a First Name and Last Name standard field, and so does my form in jotform.
When I go to do the mappings the only option I have is 'Full Name Field' and it can only be linked with either a first name or a last name. I don't understand how information from two text name fields are supposed to be broken up into two seperate fields in salesforce.
Please let me know what I need to do in order to integrate a lead record from jotform to salesforce with this limitation.
I am attaching a screen shot. Look forward to hearing from you soon.
Salesforce Integration Fields JotForm name first name integrate
To my knowledge , at this moment you can only integrate Salesforce based on those 2 names .
There is already a similar request regarding to SalesForce, so let me add yours to the features request list
You can also do this by mapping your first name and last name to hidden text fields on the lead object and then use a workflow rule: field update to update each of the standard lead fields with the values within the hidden fields.
Just to add, I see that you are using separate input boxes for first and last name, you may try using the Full Name field under our Quick Tools section, it is best designed to work with integration like this. Please do try mapping that field and see if it works.
