I wanted to create a survey which allows a user to submit the form at different stages and come back after few months to see what they have filled till now and add details in the other sections.
I want to know if it is possible to create a form through JotForm.

Hi Riya,
It is possible to create a form that provides users to save their inputs and continue later.
There are two ways to do this.
First, you can make Enable Continue Forms Later option in the Preferences>Advanced. This is the basic way to allow users to continue to fill their forms at a later date.
You can also send session link to submitters with AutoResponder Email. Please have a look at the How-to-Save-Forms-and-Continue-Later guide. You can find more detailed information in this guide.
Second way is to use Edit Link. Submitters can update their submissions whenever they need with this Edit Link. Please have a look at the following guide: How-to-Let-Users-Update-Their-Form-Submissions-at-a-Later-Date
If you need any further assistance, please feel free to let us know.
Thank you.

Riya GargReplied on December 27, 2016 at 6:45 AMHi,
Maybe I did not make myself clear earlier. I want to create a form which
has multiple sections. Some which will be filled now, some a few months
later and so on. So the people should be able to *submit *the form now but
also be come back to it in the future and submit the questions which will
be due at that time.
If I am still not clear enough, can you please give me a call at

Hi,
It is possible to create a form that users can submit their forms and then they can come back to the submitted form and edit the submission. I recommend you to use Edit Link in AutoResponder Email.
Let me clarify your issue.
"I want to create a form which has multiple sections."
I have created a demo form for you: https://form.jotform.com/63612601450950
You can clone this form yo your side: How-to-Clone-an-Existing-Form-from-a-URL
I have created two pages form and add some form fields to this form. Email field is very important in this case because submitters will get a Autoresponder Email with Edit Link via their email addresses. That's why, they need to enter their email address to my form.
This is my form:
How to Set Up an AutoResponder Email with Edit Link.
1- Click Email.
2- Click Create New Email.
3- Select AutoResponder Email.
4- Click Email tab. Insert a row above of the other fields or anywhere you want.
5- Click Form Fields button and add an Edit Link to your email.
6- Final view of the Autoresponder email settings.
After you finish your changes, Save the settings.
Be sure that Recipients>Recipient Email field is assigned as Email.
Revision
Please have a look at the following video about the AutoResponder email settings:
Please have a look at the following video to see the result:
As you see in the video above, Edit Link supplies your needs "people should be able to *submit *the form now but also be come back to it in the future and submit the questions which will be due at that time.".
If you need any other details about AutoResponder Emails, look at the this guide: Creating-a-Form-Autoresponder.
If you need any further assistance, please feel free to let us know.
Thank you.
