    How to avoid "https" protocol to be added by default to the link in custom thank you page?

    Asked by imatosyan on December 29, 2016 at 05:09 PM

    Hello,

    I am trying to make a dynamic Thank You Page Url for our forms which will depend on url of form page is placed.

    Use case:
    we have product pages, each has same jotform submission form. After form is filled we need to bring user to exact same page and add to url some parametrs so ather things are triggered.

    Problem:
    I use Get Form Page URL Widget to get te form page URL, than I place it to Thank you page builder, option Redirect to external page, it look like this      {clickTo7}?status=1&param1={param1}

    After saving it looks correctly, but after loading settings again it changes it to     https://{clickTo7}?status=1&param1={param1}

    Then obviously, after submitting the form it does not work, because it redirects to    https://http//www.mydomain.com?status=1&param1={param1}

    How to ask JotForm to not add the protocol to URL of External link if missing.

    Thank you in advance,

    Ivan

    I have checked this and I can see what you're referring to, when using the thank you wizard it adds by default the "https://" and I have also tried using conditions and seems like the same happens, it also adds the "https://" by default, so the full link needs to be provided if it is needed to redirect to a different page.

    I will forward this thread to our second level in order to request to remove this so the https protocol is not added by default to the link and it can work the way as you're looking for.

    We will let you know as soon as we get updates regarding this.

    Hello Erhan,

    Thanks for info.

    I have just tested it and it does not work as expected.

    To thank you page I put url:      {clickTo7}?status=1&param1={param1}

    But at the end I get redirected to: https://http//www.mydomain.com?status=1&param1={param1}

    If there is no protocol in URL it puts there https by default.

    I even tried to make a new form, it behave the same.

    Thank you in advance for the fix,

    Ivan
