I have a form that has 3 fields for additional people. Each of these has a second field with another piece of information needed for each person. So the original form went like this:
Name 1 role
Name 2 role
Name 3 role
When the notification email comes, the data for "Name 1" is coming from "Name 1 role". These seems to be caused by Jotform identifying field by using just the beginning of their labels. I have tried renaming fields and Jotform changes the both fields that are already confused. See the current state of this mess in the screen shot of the notification email below.
My question is: can this form be saved?
And if not, what do I need to know about naming fields to avoid this confusion?
As you see the fields in the notification email, the fields are duplicated in the email and so the correct data is not being displayed.
You may edit the notification and remove the field name and add the correct fields from the Form fields dropdown.

I had this happen again in another form. I had two fields that started with "Full Name of" and the Field drop down menu gave me the same variable name in each case. I went back to the form builder and touched each field. When I came back to the email builder, one field had a number added. Go figure.
If I understood you correctly, you were able to resolve your issue on other form as well.
