Is there a way to pass in a variable to a jotform form

I would like to pass into my jotform a variable (through a URL) that I can use to pre-populate one of the fields in the form.   It is a unique team number for our ~600 teams.   Currently, I have the coach fill out the team number but  quite a few coaches end up transposing digits, or making some other mistake.   I have no easy way in the jotform form itself to check the team numbers and sometimes the transposed or wrong team number is actually a valid team (but not tied to that coach) anyway.

I would really like a way to give each team their own unique link that I can build via php from my wordpress site and then pass that data to jotform directly so that this field is not entered by the coach. I still need to include it in the form data so that I can save the form data into a team unique folder through the googledrive integration.

Let me know if this feature exists and I just missed it in my searches or if there is any chance of this feature being added anytime soon. If not,  I would welcome suggested alternative(s).

PS On facebook, there is a nonprofit group has been showing the love of jotform - you might be receiving a few additional inquiries about nonprofit support, etc.   We even joked about starting a "nonprofit jotform lovers anonymous" group.  Happy New Years!

You can also set mentioned field inside of your form to be read only. This way you will prevent your users to change it.
